Hi and welcome to my Blog!
For a while I have been thinking of starting a Blog but was not sure what to write about. I still am not sure what will eventually fill the space I've chosen to create but I invite you to walk - and sometimes run, soar, fly - or simply be with me here, as I seek to share with you, perspectives on some of the things I hold dear and which I consider worthy of some discussion.
The blog is titled GT, ME & YOU..... Why?
Well, I am a GT man - GT short for Georgetown-: Born, raised and educated in Georgetown, GUYANA.
Guyana is a relatively small English-speaking nation of just about 750,000 souls on the north-eastern coast of South America, yet very Caribbean (West Indian) in soul. Born out of several occupations by explorers/colonisers - English, French, Dutch....the population consists of peoples with varied origins. There are Amerindians, the native peoples of the country, there are blacks, of African ancestry - descendants of former slaves brought to this part of the world; there are East Indians and Chinese brought as Indentured Servants, there is a smattering of persons of Portuguese and other "Caucasian" extraction and there is a very healthy population of "mixed" race Guyanese.
I'll seek to introduce you to GT, in my own way....we'll take a look back into her past, and i'll share some thoughts on her future....where she might be going......as far as I can tell. I'll seek to introduce you to the complex person that's me...and seek by your interactions to discern who YOU are......Let's build a meaningful relationship through my offerings.....Enjoy!
